Hello! My name is Carly Goldberg and I am the Associate Director of Audacious Hospitality at the Union for Reform Judaism. Prior to my work at the URJ, I maintained a private psychotherapy practice specializing in women’s mental health and trauma. Over the past 15 years, I has served in a multitude of capacities as a clinician, educator, researcher, activist, and speaker in the field of social work, engaging with some of society’s most underserved and vulnerable populations. My current professional areas of interest explore how we cultivate compassion and deepen our connection among one another across lines of difference in an effort to effect institutional and social change.
I hold a doctorate in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in social work from New York University, and as an undergraduate at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary I studied Indo-Tibetan Buddhism and Judaic Studies.
I live in the greater Philadelphia area with my husband, son, and Shih Tzu dog.
